With the December 2nd release of Dream Chemistry’s second studio album, Images of White, the band further refines the blend of progressive folk rock and jazzy gospel that helped its self-titled debut album garner an international following.

New to Dream Chemistry’s line-up is singer Dellynn, whose luminous vocals are a powerful accompaniment to the band’s spiritual and often Celtic vibe. Dellynn joins Jimmy Caterine, the former guitarist of Sacred Rite (Capitol Records), and bassist Neal Harris. With violinist Michael Mulryan and percussionist Tito Valentin rounding out the quintet, Dream Chemistry’s organic fusion of musical genres stands as a soothing antidote to a hectic world.

Images of White is punctuated with an instrumental precision that is the hallmark of Dream Chemistry’s sound. From the blue-grass flavored “Ride Me a River” to the instrumental “Three Legged Horse,” the album’s 11 tracks create a “hypnotic and soothing statement,” according to Caterine.

The Wind, the first video from the new CD was released on September 25th. Public reception of the video, which can be viewed at Reverbnation.com and on YouTube, has exceeded Dream Chemistry’s expectations. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of traction the video has received,” Harris said. “It’s a great feeling when so many people enjoy your work.”

Caterine and Harris founded Dream Chemistry in 2007 with the hopes of raising funds for various charitable causes. Though both musicians spent their formative years on the metal circuit, they approached Dream Chemistry as an opportunity to express a more nuanced sound, one that reflected their growth both musically and spiritually.

Images of White represents the next step in the evolution of that sound, according to Caterine. He believes the new album is a “rebirth of the band, not only in terms of musicianship but direction.”

Spencer Kane, a 15 year old singer from Kendallville, Indiana, is acquiring a rapid fan base in the U.S. and overseas. His latest release, “Knowing” (Nov 21, 2011), is rising the charts of many indie sites and received over a 1,000 views of the official music video on his Youtube channel (www.youtube.com/SpencerKaneMusic) in just a few days after its release. A follow up to his hit debut single, “Best Friends”, this new song is a lot more edgy and reveals a maturing vocal performance and amazing instrumentation and production.

Spencer is a student-athlete with a passion for music. His commitment to purity before marriage has created strong peer pressure and ridicule, but his music reflects his message of just having fun and staying away from unnecessary drama.

“Knowing” features Midwest rapper, Street Scholar, which is his second guest appearance in Spencer’s music and videos.

Spencer performs at various venues in Northeast Indiana, but is more focused on producing his original songs at Sweetwater Studios in Fort Wayne.

As an unsigned artist, Spencer hopes to find the right label to help produce, promote, and distribute his music.

The video “1945” by China-based band Mercy And Sorrow directs our attention to the year 1945, when World War II (in which 50-70 million lives were lost) ended. “1945” begins slowly, solemnly, with Albert Einstein’s quote, “I do not know what weapons World War III will be fought with, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” A long corridor through which one must pass is shown, and then the video shifts to scenes of everyday life progressing normally, followed by scenes of soldiers and war.

As a lone plane drops a bomb, the song changes pace, becoming more of a rock track with a hard edge and the vocals transitioning from the soft beginning to a much louder and grittier tone. The pace of “1945” quickens once again and seems to have a sense of urgency to it as the bomb drops in slow motion to the ground while the people below are completely unaware of the impending doom. Scenes of destruction and the blinding light of the explosion are gripping and sobering, as we see that no one is spared.

As we see the mushroom cloud appearing, the plane that dropped the bomb returns to its origin, giving the impression that while the pilot did his job and it ended there for him, many died on the ground as a result of his “labor.” The song then changes pace back to its original slow tempo, amidst pictures of devastation beyond belief. “1945” is a reminder of what we shouldn’t have to remember, but what we must never forget.

Seems that every time I turn around there is some company wanting money to promote my music. I submit and get a positive reponse that has a price tag on it and it gets old. Anyone got information on where to submit without it ending up in the round file? http://www.jpmurphey.com/ if you care to listen, the music is great, production is top quality but it seems to be impossible to get it heard without writing a check or pulling out the plastic.

not a problem, to add your songs to your profile track list you have to check mark the box “Add song to profile track list” under each song you want displayed on your profile… now that you have already added your songs go back to your DASHBOARD and click your Media tab, then a drop down menu will drop, click Music, your list of albums should now be displayed now look beside the album you want to add a song from and click “Add/Edit Tracks” after you have done so click “Edit” beside the song you want to add to your profile… now that you are editing your track check mark the box (3rd option down) “Add song to Profile Track List” once it has been check marked click the update button down below. Next time when you upload a song to a album just make sure to check mark the box each time ;) hope this helps if you have any further questions please feel free to ask !
