Al Stone; Born in Chicago 1954, by age 14 Al was in a local band, playing R&B, Blues, and Rock. At the age of 15, Al recorded his first record with some young, local players. At 16, Al could be found jamming with world renowned Chicago Blues and rock players,
When jamming at a local blues club in Chicago [ Just Angle's ] 1979, Al impressed Chicago Blues Man, Jimmy Johnson so much that he was invited to the world famous Kingston Mines for a jam session sitting in with Big Moose, Lefty Dizz and other blues greats of that time, and most recently with Bob Mandarino, and Eddie C. Campbell, at a "invitation only " Phil Guy, tribute studio Jam Session [ 2009 ]. These blues greats encouraged Al, telling him, that he should continue to play the Blues full time.
While touring the Modern Day Chittlin Circuit, Al Stone settled in Jacksonville, Fl [ 1990 ] where he was immediately introduced to many well known Jacksonville artists. Al then recorded his first solo EP "I WANT IT All", with Debbie Bailey (Lynyrd Skynyrd back up singer), Banner Thomas (the original bassist for Molly Hatchet), Robbie Morris (from the Johnny Van Zant Band), Erik Guess (from Cotton Mouth), and the late Denny Best (from Chicago's famed Big Twist & The Mellow Fellows). All of this took place while Al was Touring the South, and hosting Two jam session, one in Jacksonville, Fl with drummer, Artimus Pyle of Lynyrd Skynyrd fame, and one at the Bank and Blues in Daytona Beach Fl. on Main St.
Al Stone is backed by a band that, brings more than 100 combined years of professional music experience, an unparalleled amount of energy, and musical talent to every venue they perform. Whether performing an original song, or taking a cover and making it "their own", Al Stone, and his band will grab you, and take you on a ride you will not soon forget.
